About

Before we tell your story, here’s a bit about me. I am a mother to two girls, one who is a rare disease warrior and the other a superhero. My partner is an amazing man who keeps my spirit alive. When life takes us on unexpected journeys, I aim to find the light that is not always so apparent at first, because these are often our best opportunities for growth. I believe in community, being a good neighbour and staying connected to my pack. I also have a degree in Interior Design and a deep appreciation for well-made objects.

In 2021 I discovered Common Language Digital Storytelling, and have undergone over 100 hours of training in trauma-informed facilitation methods. Through one-to-one and group digital storytelling workshops, I help communities raise their voice using the medium of a short 3-5 minute film, (a digital story), that requires no filming at all. Through my own experience as a rare disease mom, I know that digital storytelling can create new conversations, connect communities and shift perspectives. I believe that sharing our life stories will build the blocks of empathy that our world needs to create meaningful change.

I picked up the camera at the age of 13 and haven’t put it down since. My documentary approach to photography allows me to create beautiful visual stories from the raw everyday moments that make up life. I show up ready to embrace the messy, chaotic, joyful, funny moments and even the ordinary ones that may pass us by. Because there is power in the moments that we see ourselves.

We have stories to tell, let’s do this together.
